Meet Mr Sanker Rao,of age 25 years from  Kocharla village, Guntur district. Sanker is the only son of Ramulu and Devamma who work as daily labours in agricultural farms and earn little money on both. By birth sanker Rao has deformity on both of his legs he can not even stand properly without any support.

When CEED conducted a free medical camp in Upparapalem, Sanker rao was at the camp asking to help him if there is any chance of correcting his deformity. DR.V.V.Narayana Rao who is a senior ortho surgeon in Guntur Government hospital and also in Adharsha Hospital. Reports of Sanker Rao states that his left leg has a deformity called GENU VALGUM and CONGENITAL TALIPES EQUINO VARUS,his right leg has a deformity called PESPLANUS which are major deformities.

According to doctors both of his legs can be corrected through surgery which is not affordable for a person like Sanker Rao who is from a very poor background

Reports of Sanker Rao states that his left leg has a deformity called GENU VALGUM and CONGENITAL TALIPES EQUINO VARUS, his right leg has a deformity called PESPLANUS which are major deformities.

According to doctors both of his legs can be corrected through surgery which is not affordable for a person like Sanker Rao who is from a very poor background.His application and reports were then forwarded to Rob Buchanan the Director of MEND.

After consulting and  taking the advice of many Doctors, CEED planned surgery for Sanker Rao with the help of MEND.

Dr.V.V.Narayana Rao of Adharsha hospitals has planned to do surgery first on his left leg with major deformity and then later for his right. On 17 May Sanker Rao had a surgery on his left leg done by Dr.Narayana Rao, Dr Kiran and team which was a great success.

Then Sanker Rao was under proper care taken by doctors and staff of Adharsha hospitals for 13 days and was discharged, his leg was bounded by Plaster of Paris bandage to get the leg into normal shape.

After 10 more days that bandage will be removed to see the final result of the surgery.
