Sarswathi of age 23 years from Ponnur Village in Guntur,who is polio affected on one hand and both Legs.She is from a very poor background her father Nageshwara Rao works under a gold smith on a daily wage of 100 INR a day,she has a younger brother Mani Krishna who supplies water to each house in the village to earn few money to help his father.
Saraswathi’s mother Kumari is a house wife,She is the only person who is taking care of her Daughter. Saraswathi can not handle her daily chores,toilets in their house is a big problem for her as a mother Kumari is helping her Daughter in her daily routines.
Saraswathi’s mother Kumari is suffering from a major health issue,she developed a gland in her Uterus which have to removed.If she had a surgery to remove the gland,she have to take complete rest for two months until she gets recovered.In this case she will have no one to care of her daughter for this two months.Thinking this she then removed the taught of having surgery from her mind and once again proved the love mother has on her child.
Saraswathi’s mother Kumari approached CEED asking help for her daughter,A wheel chair was given to Saraswathi which was brought from THFI Kunnamkulam,Kerala donated by MEND.She is very happy now because she have seen her neighbours after a long time She thanked one and all who helped her in getting a wheel chair specially Rob Buchanan the director of MEND for his great support and for a beautiful smile he brought on her face after many years.
In the month of September 2013 CEED helped Sarswathi to start a small business which is helping her to earn some income herself..Saraswathi started Saree business at her home selling Sarees to the people in her locality with the help of her Mother.
She is very happy and thankful to CEED for helping her to start her own business,which is now helping her to earn some profits.
Saraswathi selling her first saree and getting handful of money,this is her first income that she has made. She is very much interested in expanding her business and wanted to work harder to help her family to meet their daily needs.
